Our Identity

"Your mental health is not your identity. Your identity is in Christ."

Kay Warren

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV

When we accept Jesus as our Savior, it’s an instant transaction. Immediately, we become a child of God! Making Him Lord of our lives and becoming more in His image…weeelllllllll, that can be a process. Honestly, it will be a process we are in for the rest of our lives! But each day, each step, even the setbacks, all work toward furthering the process of our becoming more of who and what we were created to be in Christ. Our identity is NOT in being an addict, being depressed, being a victim, being divorced…In Christ, I am a CHILD OF GOD who struggles with addiction, depression, victimization and broken relationships. And in Christ, He is making all things new!
