I was born and raised in Love, Virginia, currently living only a few short minutes from that small mountain community.  Once upon a time, I aspired to make a career in the field of accounting but God had different plans.  As the result of a number of traumas, losses and struggles in my own life, God has equipped me to minister to others who are going through their own trials.  My struggles include childhood sexual abuse by my grandfather, the death of my mother at the age of 42 in a car accident, two miscarriages, life with a medically involved child and his premature death at the age of 6 as well as being a breast cancer survivor.  I know what it is to be broken but I also know the amazing grace of God in the midst of seemingly impossible circumstances.  I have personally experienced the healing and redemption only He can bring in the aftermath and am now able to offer hope to those who are hurting.

I have been married 37+ years to David.  We have a daughter, Ashley, a son-in-law, Michael, and are blessed with three grandsons, Nathan, Josiah and Zachary.  We also have a son Nathan who is in Heaven.  My passion and calling in life is to help people find their healing, wholeness, and freedom in Christ from the griefs, traumas and losses in life.   I've been in ministry for over 25 years providing pastoral counseling to residents of the Shenandoah Valley.  I am humbled and honored to also serve as the Director of Isaiah 61 Ministries for the last 5 years.
